Simultaneous Interpretation

  • Two interpreters work as a pair

  • Interpretation delivered concurrently with speech

VIP/Escort Interpretation

  • Interpretation for VIPs, high-ranking officials, celebrities

  • ​Interpreter will accompany the visitor from arrival to departure.

Consecutive Interpretation

  • Interpretation delivered after a speaker completes a portion of speech and pauses for an interpreter

Wispering 
Interpretation

  • Interpretation which is suitable when there are two or fewer listeners 

  • ​Interpreter sits next to the listener and delivers the interpretation in low voice like whispering

Relay
Interpretation

  • Interpretation which is adopted when speech needs to be simultaneously interpreted into two or more languages

Online Conference
Interpretation

  • ​Interpretation provided on online video conference (both simultaneous and consecutive available)

• The entire period of service hours from start to finish, excluding a one-hour lunch break.

• If interpretation service is provided during the lunch, the work hour will be included in the total service hours.

• Maximum one hour can be excluded for lunch break.

• Without exception, simultaneous interpreting requires at least a pair of interpreters.

• Depending on the duration and difficulty of a subject, a team of three interpreters may require.

• KRW 200,000/hour if pre-meeting takes place before the service date

• If the pre-meeting takes place on the service date, it will be included in the total service hours.

• Any rehearsals performed on the date of service are included in the duration of service.

• Rehearsals conducted on a day other than the actual date of an event are charged at official rates.

Cancellation fee is charged when the reserved interpretation service is cancelled.

• 4-7 days before the service date: 30% of the service fee

• 2-3 days before the service date: 40% of the service fee

• One day before the service date: 50% of the service fee

• On the day of the event: 100% of the service fee

Recording and broadcasting

Audio and video recording and broadcasting of interpretation require the prior consent from the interpreters.

• For internal use:  50%  additional charge of the service fee

• For broadcasting and external use: 100% additional charge of the service fee

• The same applies to online video conference interpretation: if an unspecified number of people can access a publicly available link to hear the interpretation or read the transcript, it is considered a broadcast and 100% of the interpretation fee is charged additionally.

•  If the recording is made into a booklet and used as an internal or external document, another 100% of the interpretation fee is charged.

Nighttime interpretation 

For interpretation service provided between 22:00pm-6:00am, additional nighttime interpretation fee of 50,000 won per person per hour is charged

Domestic travel
​(Outside Seoul Metropolitan area)

  • Travel Day Fee: KRW 400,000/1 day
    : If the interpreter needs to arrive at the venue one day earlier or to leave one day later due to the meeting schedule 

  • Per Diem: KRW 200,000/day 

  • Stay Fee: KRW 400,000/day (No Per Diem charged)
    : If there is any day that no interpretation is required during the entire service schedule

  • Transportation fee: The fastest round=trip transportation mode with the cost provided by the customer
    - If destination lacks airport facilities, tickets for KTX is provided by the customer.
    - In some cases, transportation expense can be provided as reimbursement of gas bill.

  • Accommodation: One room per interpreter and the cost provided by the customer

Overseas travel
(Outside Korea)

  • Travel Day Fee: KRW 500,000/1 day
    : If the interpreter needs to arrive at the venue one day earlier or to leave one day later due to the meeting schedule 
    - If flight exceeds 8 hours, a minimum of one full day each before and after the conference is required.
    - If flight exceeds 16 hours, a minimum of one full day each before and after the conference is required.

  • Per diem: KRW 200,000/day

  • Stay Fee: KRW 500,000/day (No Per Diem charged)
    : If there is any day that no interpretation is required during the entire service schedule

  • Round-trip flights, transportation in service country and accommodation (one room per interpreter) are provided by the customer.
